?But the trip didn’t go on like what I had thought. Every other friend from other countries can communicate with each other by English. Although we had an excellent Vietnamese volunteer, she couldn’t help me to do every task from the organization board because they were for me, not for her. I couldn’t hear what they said, even I didn’t know how to ask them to speak again, I just said with my puzzled face:” há?” or “ hứ?”. Therefore it made me unconfident and didn’t dare to talk to any other foreign people. At lunch, I sat next to one of the supporters but I just could pretend not to see him and continue eating without holding my head up. In most discussions, I can rarely hear and talk about somethings. I realized that my problems were not only my bad English skills but also my knowledge and other soft skills. We discussed culture, famous places, and dishes, problems of each country, but I could just say some very basic words about Vietnam while other foreign friends were very enthusiastic and excellent. Being a representative of Vietnam, it was really shameful. Therefore, whenever getting up in the morning, felt stressed. I didn’t deserve!??

?This experience was like a pain for me, but it was a useful pain. Coming home from Tokyo, I was so determined, told myself to improve my English, so skills and of course knowledge of history, the culture of Vietnam. Recently I have taken part in a Japanese course and also have learned about its culture. I wonder why I and many other students have learned other countries’ culture but haven’t done so with Vietnam-our own country while we have a lot of things to be proud of. These experiences and thinkings have driven me to participate in the tour guide course. This summer, I will try my best to learn English, history, and culture of Vietnam in order to become a tour guide for foreigners and not to feel shameful like before. One day, I will come back to Tokyo but in a different role!
